Following Israel Jacob Yuval ( Shnei goyim be-vitnech: yehudim ve-notsrim—dimuyim hadadiyim , 2000 /Two Nations in your Womb: Perceptions of Jews and Christians in Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages , 2006) and Daniel Boyarin ( Border Lines: the Partition of Judaeo-Christianity , 2004), Biale investigates how a particular theological development within Judaism and Christianity has been shaped by the proximity and exchange of ideas between the two traditions.
