Silvio Ferrari and Sabrina Pastorelli, Religion in Public Spaces. A European Perspective (Ashgate, 2012), ISBN 978-1-4094-5058-0, pp. 408.

Silvio Ferrari and Sabrina Pastorelli, Religion in Public Spaces. A European Perspective... This book represents the first edited work published by one of the working groups involved in the RELIGARE (Religious Diversity and Secular Models in Europe. Innovative Approaches to Law and Policy) Project. RELIGARE comprised a three year project, and was financed by the European Commission Directorate General Research. A consortium of 13 universities involved in interdisciplinary research from nine different European countries and Turkey were involved in the project. The investigation of the research project focused on four different research fields in ten different countries. These fields were: the family, the work place, the public space, and issues concerning state support to the different religious groups. This volume, edited by Silvio Ferrari, Professor of Law and Religion at Milan State University, and Sabrina Pastorelli, Research Fellow at Milan State University, consists of the proceedings of a colloquium held in Como in October 2010 under the auspices of the research project. Besides various academic publications, RELIGARE, which has applied a comparative and multi-disciplinary approach to its research, has also produced a final report that will be available on the website: www.religareproject.eu . It has been announced that the project will also deliver other research instruments during the coming months: http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Religion and Human Rights Brill
