A Letter from the President

A Letter from the President 8 A Letter from the President Dear Friends, Warm greetings to all of you on behalf of the Executive Committee and on my own behalf. We enjoyed the warm hospitality of Fr. Horst Rzepkowski and of the Divine Word Missionaries at Sankt Augustin (Bonn), Germany, where we met, January 27-31, 1994. We were happy to offer our greet- ings and good wishes to Ms. Ana Langerak, our Vice-President, who is now also the Director of Unit II on Churches in Mission at the World Council of Churches in Geneva. The principal item on our agenda was, of course, the venue; dates and theme of our next Conference, besides the usual business items like admitting new members, planning issues of Mission Studies, fol- lowing up the work of the different IAMS Projects, reviewing and passing the budget, etc. The choice of dates and of the theme are at least partly conditioned by that of the venue. Regarding the venue, there were two proposals on the table: Hun- gary and Argentina. At Hawaii, some had expressed the desire to meet the next time in Eastern Europe. Our Secretary had been making contacts and exploring possibilities and had personally visited Hun- gary http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Mission Studies Brill
