Introduction: The Place of Natural History in Francis Bacon's Philosophy Early Science and Medicine EARLY SCIENCE AND MEDICINE A Journal for the Study of Science, Technology and Medicine in the Pre-modern Period Aims & Scope Early Science and Medicine is an international journal dedicated to the history of science, medicine and technology from the earliest times through to the end of the eighteenth century. It takes a particular interest in the text-based traditions that link antiquity with the Latin, Arabic, and Byzantine Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the early modern period. It favors diachronic studies in a variety of forms, including commented text editions and monographic studies of historical figures and scientific questions or practices. e main language of the journal is English, although contributions in French and German are also accepted.
