PROCEDURAL DEVELOPMENTS AT THE INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE D ANIEL M ÜLLER * The current column covers the time period from 1st June 2005 until 30 September 2005. Within this period, public hearings were held before the Court in the case concerning Armed Activities on the Territory of the Congo (New Application: 2002) (Democratic Republic of Congo v. Rwanda) from 4 to 8 July 2005. Rwanda requested the Court to declare that it has no jurisdiction to entertain the case, and, in the alternative, that the Application is inadmissible. 1 The Democratic Republic of Congo disputed the preliminary objections and requested the Court to uphold its jurisdiction and to declare the Application admissible. 2 The case is currently under deliberation. On 12 July 2005, the Chamber of the Court chaired by Judge Ranjeva, Vice-President of the Court, rendered its Judgment in the case concerning the Frontier Dispute (Benin/Niger) . 3 The Judgment upholds the legal principles applicable in post-colonial frontier disputes and is a striking demonstration of their application; these issues – not being of a procedural
