Scholarship has long awaited a volume that treats the discussion of Worship and the Spirit from a wide-range of Christian traditions. This book breaks ground toward this end. In a religious world of increasing diversity of worship and theology, theological education is forced to consider a more integrative approach. Worship is key expression of the Spirit within diverse cultures and through diverse theologies. Berger and Spinks have arranged an important inter-disciplinary, multi-denominational, cross-cultural volume with emphasis on the inter-relation of Worship and the Spirit. The central aim and primary focus of this work is conveyed in the introduction: “Given both the pneumatological turn in theology and the ecumenical convergences around the doctrine of the Holy Spirit, it comes as no surprise that there has also been a noticeable turn to Spirit-attentiveness in worship. Such Spirit-attentiveness is evident not only in the wor- ship practices of Pentecostal and charismatic communities, which have spread around the globe, but also in a renewed emphasis http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Pneuma Brill
