After all, there are many of you who were raised not to go to movie theaters at all; and for some of you, the first time you felt comfortable setting foot in a theater was to watch Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ . But never fear, you don’t have to be a movie aficionado or even a supporter of the Hollywood movie industry to get at the meaning behind this presidential address. The title is “Pentecostal Traditions We Must Pass On: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.” As you might guess, this speech is going to cover some danger- ous ground. But here’s why I chose the title.
