A COPTIC FRAGMENT FROM THE LIFE OF EUPRAXIA* BY G. QUISPEL and J. ZANDEE In the collection of Coptic manuscripts in the University Library am Utrecht is a sheet of papyrus containing a fragment from the life of S. Eupraxia. The size is 32.9 X 22.6 cm. The size of the written part is on the recto 23.6 X 17 cm. The text is in two columns. The recto contains 29, the verso 28, lines per column. The writing is in rounded uncials. We had the opportunity to show photographs of the text to Prof. Dr. L. Th. Lefort. According to his opinion our fragment dates from the 8th century. Prof. Lefort did not know any other Eupraxia-text in Coptic. The recto of the text is on the verso of the papyrus-sheet. The upper right hand corner of the verso shows d = 4 as the page number. The pagination of the recto is illegible. The sheet was folded vertically, the recto being turned to the outside. The verso is much less legible than the recto. In its lower left corner the papyrus has darkened. The centre has been partly rubbed out. In Bibliotheca Hagiographiccc Graeca3 (ed. Fr.
