Titus was a metropolitan bishop of Bostra, provincial capital of Roman Arabia, who completed his lengthy treatise Contra Manichaeos in four λóγοι or books shortly after 363. While only about half of the Greek original has been preserved, the whole treatise came down to us in an ancient Syriac translation, and despite of everything this is in a much better state of preservation than is the case with many other Patristic works where we often have only the title or a handful of citations. It is therefore strange that we had to wait until 2013 for an edition of all the Greek and Syriac texts, based on the medieval manuscripts.
