As a final note I would be glad to hear from scholars working on or committed to the merits of a multi-religious, cross-cultural, non-confessional approach to the study of religion in public education, and the way in which this may serve to promote religious toleration. The possibilities of establishing a net- work and organizing an international conference are being examined (rhackett@utk.edu).
