Th is book off ers a contextual God-talk on theological themes in dialogue with African religious ideas. Orobator defi nes theology as faith seeking understanding, love and hope. Th is book presents theology in dialogue with themes from Chinua Achebe’s Th ings Fall Apart that highlight African religious experience and confl ict with missionary religion. Th e result is a rich analysis of Christian theology that is animated by African ideas, proverbs and religious background; it does indeed provide a brew from an African pot that is rich in taste as well as texture. Each chapter focuses on a major theme and includes review questions and suggestions for prayers or liturgy written with the African church and worship in mind. Orobator argues that Africans believe in the existence of a God who has communicated (revealed) God’s self to humanity.
