This report was compiled by task groups of the ‘Globalisation Project’, a joint venture undertaken by two churches, one from the north and one from the south. These two churches share a common theological history and legacy in the Barmen Declaration and the Confession of Belhar. The Globalisation Project was a response to a call from the World Alliance of Reformed Churches to its member churches to engage with the Accra Confession of 2004. The objectives of the Globalisation Project were to inter- rogate the issues arising from Accra; to share experiences from the different contexts of the churches; to seek common understanding of the complexities of the challenges confronting the church; to build consensus on the basis of their shared faith; and to present a common testimony to the ecumenical church and the world.
