La séquence photographique de son déve- loppement est présentée et la chronologie des différentes phases embryonnaires est établie à une température spécifique (15,5° ± 0,5). INTRODUCTION In the last century, certain aspects of the egg development of some freshwater crayfish species (Astacus astacus (L., 1758), Austropotamobius pallipes (Lereboullet, 1858), Austropotamobius torrentium (Schrank, 1803) and Astacus lep- todactylus Eschscholtz, 1823) have been studied by several authors (Rathke, 1829; Lereboullet, 1862; Reichenbach, 1877, 1886; Huxley, 1881; Schimkewitsch, 1885; Morin, 1886; Fulinsky, 1908). A detailed study from prior spawning phases to the first postembryonic moult in A. astacus (as A. fluviatilis) and Austropotamobius torrentium (as Astacus t. ) was published by Zehnder (1934), establishing 16 stages of embryonic develop- ment.
