REPORT ON THE MALE ALONG WITH A REDESCRIPTION OF THE FEMALE OF STENHELIA (DELAV ALIA) LONGIFURCA SEWELL, 1934 (COPEPODA, HARPACTICOIDA) BY Y. RANGA REDDY and Y. India While engaged in the study of systematics and ecology of the copepod fauna of Guntur and its environs (Andhra Pradesh) during 1973-77, representatives ot both sexes of Stenhelia (Delavalia) longi furca Sewell, 1934, were met with in . fairly good numbers in Lake Kolleru and in a reservoir on the Nagarjuna Univer- sity Campus. Sewell (1934) briefly described this species only on female speci- mens obtained from Uttarbhag, Chingrighatta, and from Piali River near Calcutta. A perusal of the existing literature reveals that this species has not since been recorded. The present paper embodies the first record and description of the male along with a redescription of the female.
