KAZMI Invertebrate Reference Museum, University of Karachi, Karachi, Pakistan Recent finds of specimens along the coast of Pakistan, northern Arabian Sea, extends considerably the known range of three decapod crustaceans: Micro- prostbema validum, Solenocera melantho and Nursia rubifera. Observations on the material are given in the following account. The specimens are at the Inverte- brate Reference Museum, University of Karachi. STENOPODIDAE Microprosthema validum Stimpson, 1860 (fig. 1) Material examined. - This species is fairly common along the Karachi and Makran coasts. Specimens range from 4.5 to 6.5 mm in carapace length including rostrum (c.l. + r), the smallest ovigerous female measures 4.5 mm in c.l. + r. The specimens at hand agree rather well with the descriptions given by Holthuis ( 1946 : 50) and Baba et al. (1968: 174) except that the median carina on the third abdominal segment is either missing or indistinctly developed.
