A REVISION OF THE GENERA PARAPETALUS STEENSTRUP & LUTKEN AND PSEUDOPETALUS NOV. BY N. KRISHNA PILLAI Marine Biological Laboratory, Trivandrum 7, India During the course of a general survey of the copepod parasites of the fishes of the Kerala coast, India, I have been able to collect all but one of the species so far assigned to the genus Parapetalu.r. As certain aspects of the morphology and taxonomy of some of the species appear to need clarification a revision of the genus is attempted. I take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to Dr. C. C. John, Pro- fessor of Marine Biology and Fisheries, for much help rendered in various ways during the course of this study.
