C. curta (Dana) has been detected only in Gulf Stream samples. C. aethio pica (Dana), C. bi.rPinosa (Claus) and C..rim plex (Giesbrecht) have appeared in one sample from a station located on the seaward side of the continental shelf-edge and in several collections from the Gulf Stream and Sargasso Sea.
