US$ 120.00). Crustacean farming is war. Any human activity involving large sums of money results in struggle. Fortunately, this book, the second edition of “Crustacean farming” by D. O’C. Lee & J. F. Wickens, deals with the subject in a most pleasant and civilized way. Certainly the Ž rst nine (out of 12) chapters describe the relevant biological information in a peaceful and excellent manner. The reader is presented a wealth of information on all scientiŽ c and technical aspects of the farming and culture of a large number of Crustacea that are of economic interest. Although comprising very different realms, practically all freshwater, brackish-water and marine species are included. Farming and culture information is given in easily accessible, Ž ne detail. The Ž rst two introductory chapters present a sound description of the history and the objectives of farming and of the biology of the species involved.
