Box 5000, Mayagüez, Puerto Rico 00681-5000 1 . Adenomera griseigularis Henle, 1981 has recently been recognized as a valid species of Leptodactylus (Heyer, 1994). The advertisement call of L. griseigularis was thought to be unrecorded (Heyer, 1994), but VRM had made a recording of the species, identified at the time of recording as Leptodactylus sp. 'The purpose of this note is to describe and figure the advertisement call of Leptodactylus griseigularis and compare the call with those of other closely related species of Leptodactylus. The recording was made by VRM on I April 1985 from Tingo Maria, Hudnuco, Peru at 1930 hours, 24°C air temperature, voucher specimen Museo de Historia Natural, Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos 0236. The species was calling in drainage ditches without vegetation around the Universidad Nacional Agraria de la Selva campus.
