The iE * :iîi describes the Narwhal or sea-unicorn in these terms: "'ihe reaches a length of about fourty feet; it lives at the bottom of the sea, aiid rarely comes upon the surface of the water. Its skiu is hard, and not to be pierced. The two corns (teeth) upon its front are like rapiers". Of course the word Lo7tszeiii(z or Loksurna is not Chinese, but the transcription of some foreign name. Can any of the readers of the give me any infor- mation on the subject? G.S.
