Notes on Contributors Andrew Armond is an Associate Professor of English at Oklahoma Baptist University, where he teaches courses in Western civilization, Victorian literature, film adaptation, and critical theory. In recent years he has published and/or presented papers on William Blake, Christina Rossetti, John Henry Newman, William Gladstone, and Gerard Manley Hopkins. Lysbeth Em Benkert is Professor of English at Northern State University where she teaches rhetorical theory, Shakespeare, and other literature of the early modern period. She has published work on Elizabeth I , Anne Dowriche, and Alexander Pope. Her current research interests include Reformation studies as they relate to Shakespeare, John Donne, and George Herbert, as well as the study of visual rhetoric. Arianne Francoise Conty is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the American University of Sharjah (Ph.D. University of California, Santa Barbara). Professor Conty’s principal fields of specialization are continental philosophy and philosophy of religion. Her research interests and publications focus on phenomenological approaches to the study of technology and human identity, as well as on the philosophy of the image, and the ways the apophatic deconstruction of ontological essences parallels the strategy used by iconophiles to overcome the ontological stasis intrinsic to iconoclasm.
