Zu I.Napoli 2.119 = CIG 3 add . 5831.b = IG 14.781 * ) Im zweiten Band der Iscrizioni greche d’Italia aus Neapel hat Elena Miranda eine seit langem bekannte Grabinschrift neu ediert, die allein durch eine unveröffent- lichte Handschrift des Neapolitaner Gelehrten Fabius Giordanus überliefert ist; ihr Fundort ist unbekannt. 1) Erstmalig publiziert wurde diese Inschrift—es han- delt sich dabei um den Grabstein eines Hermokles, Sohn des Euphemos, aus Alexandria—von Johannes Franz im Jahre 1853 im dritten Band des Corpus Inscriptionum Graecarum auf der Grundlage einer brieflichen Mitteilung von Theodor Mommsen; 2) wiederabgedruckt wurde sie von Georg Kaibel im Jahre 1890 in Band 14 der Inscriptiones Graecae . 3) Die Inschrift erhielt bislang nur als Zeugnis für die Präsenz von Fremden in Neapel Aufmerksamkeit. 4) Auf Grund- lage der Neuedition verdient dieses Zeugnis jedoch größeres Interesse, da ihm neben den bislang bekannten Elementen Name, Vatersname und Herkunftsort nunmehr noch eine weitere Information bezüglich des Verstorbenen zu entneh- men ist—nach Elena Miranda, die sich eingehend mit Giordanus’ Handschrift beschäftigt hat, lautet der Text nämlich: 5) * ) Für eine
