This bibliography on a specialized and elusive topic maintains the tradi- tional excellence of the Hoover Institution Bibliographical Series. It is "one pro- duct of a project to collect, translate, and edit a volume of documents issued by the Portuguese African nationlist movements ... [to ) serve as a foundation for future research on nationalism and related topics in the Portuguese African territories." The collection of documents began in 1959 and took Dr. Chilcote to Brazil, Portugal and throughout Africa where he secured the assistance of eminent re- presentatives from most of the splintered nationalist movements. Many of the citations refer to mimeographed speeches, information bulletins, and series which appeared irregularly. Published pamphlets and periodical articles by leaders are cited.
