When reviewing the previous volume of conference papers in EJML 7 / 2005, p. 339 et seq., I emphasized the particular richness of that collection. Th e reason for this quality, which the new volume shares with its predecessor, is, that the participants in the annual conferences on aliens law Hohenheimer Tage zum Aus- länderrecht in the Academy of the Diocese Rottenburg-Stuttgart, make up “a col- orful mixture of judges, attorneys, social workers, persons from the administration (e.g. the Federal Office for Immigration and Refugees, ministries, local aliens’ offices) as well as from churches and other non governmental organizations or last, but not least, from universities“ (ibidem). Th e new volume bears the title Change of Perspectives in Aliens Law? Legal Conflicts Mirrored by Political and Social Changes in Germany and Europe. 20 Years Hohenheim Conferences on Aliens Law. It contains papers presented in the conferences
