Th is book collects essays written by selected faculty of McCormick Th eological Seminary, Chicago, a Presbyterian institution long committed to understanding and exploring the various dimensions of diversity and its impact on teaching and learning. Th e editors, David Esterline, Dean of Faculty, Vice President for Academic Aff airs and Professor of Th eological Education and the late Ogbu Kalu, Professor of World Christianity and Mission, provide the introduction and fi rst and fi nal chapter, respectively. Th e introduction points out that while many institutions have made eff orts to be diverse in their student/faculty make-up and community life, acknowledging the increasingly mul- ticultural nature of ministry contexts in America and the church itself, few have engaged with the implications for pedagogy. Th e faculty at McCormick have done so, making this book a valuable contribution to thinking about the challenges, complexity, and riches of multicultural theological education.
