Several species belonging to the genus Tylencholaimus de Man, 1876 and characterized by a prodelphic genital system, absence of perioral disc and anterior part of the pharynx weakly muscular and expanding abruptly into the basal bulb are studied in the present paper. The group contains eight species: T. airolensis Loof & Jairajpuri, 1968, T. decens Andrássy, 1991, T. formosus Loof & Jairajpuri, 1968, T. leptonchoides Loof, 1964, T. mirabilis (Bütschli, 1873) de Man, 1876, T. porosus Vinciguerra & Zullini, 1980, T. rumjhumi Khan & Laha, 1982 and T. vigil Andrássy, 1959. Description, illustrations and measurements are given for all species.
