These publishers will be adding important journals in the areas of information technology, social sciences and the humanities to its already strong collection of life sciences and medical publications.

Under the terms of their agreements, these publishers will be adding hundreds of thousands of articles spanning more than 700 journals to DeepDyve’s rental service. DeepDyve users can rent individual articles for as little as $0.99, or subscribe to one of the company’s monthly plans that provide access to multiple articles for an extended period.

The full catalogue of publisher titles is expected to be available via DeepDyve beginning in February 2010. Users will have the option to rent individual articles for a 24-hour period for just $0.99. And for users who want to rent a higher volume of articles or would like longer- term access to their articles, DeepDyve offers monthly plans for as little as $9.99 per month.
